Vikings Season 2

   The first season is on Netflix and On demand for FREE! 

    A lot of the shows I talk about are on pay channels but this gem is on basic cable. The History channel has gotten a bit of bad press for doing television dramas that are fiction because many  people take what the History channel has to say as fact. Vikings is a fictional drama but it does help us learn because it is a period piece that shows a period most of us are very unfamiliar with.
   Don't think because this show is on the History channel that this show is like something boring you had to sit though in middle school, Vikings is a graphic and deep show about the lives of Vikings before the Norman invasion of England. It's a hard show to create in the first place because most of us think of Vikings as bad guys because in the long run their practices were brutal.
   So how do you get the audience to root for the main character, when the whole story is about bad guys? They try to show you their culture and how not everyone was a murderer. The acting is great and the sets are awesome! This is a must see and the new season starts on 2/28.
